Gleim is Hiring an UX Designer I Near Gainesville, FL

We’re looking for a user-focused designer to join our development team in a growth-oriented, creative, and energetic environment. Our IT department develops a robust online learning platform for our customers and provides top-notch technical support. We are dedicated to providing our customers the most up-to-date solutions for all their learning, continuing education, and test preparation needs.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with product and development teams to analyze, ideate, design, test, and implement new and innovative features as well as provide visual cohesion in our products
  • Translate product requirements into wireframes, interactive prototypes, and mockups and iterate designs as needed to arrive at elegant and clean experiences
  • Clearly drive design discussions and grow design culture
  • Maintain best practices, design standards, and living style guides for all of our digital tools and platforms
  • Conduct research and work with product and development teams to create the best experiences for our customers
  • Create and quickly iterate through designs to find the right fit
  • Utilize continuous learning and research to create a positive experience for our customers

Person

  • You have at least two years of UI/UX industry experience.
  • You have a great understanding of user-centered design principles and techniques and love sharing that perspective with others.
  • You use data and customer feedback to drive solutions and improvements.
  • You are proficient in design applications and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
  • You have a strong working knowledge of HTML/CSS. WordPress knowledge is a plus.
  • You are comfortable with the needs and requirements for ADA compliance.
  • You have the ability to discuss needs with stakeholders and work with project teams to conceptualize user flows visually.
  • You possess empathy for users and are excited to address pain points to generate a pleasant experience across all our products.
  • You are a team player and want to share your passion with others.
  • You can work cross-functionally with other teams to communicate your designs and the user experience.
  • You have great self-awareness and are able to take initiative and prioritize effectively.
  • You have great working knowledge of web UI technology (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery).
